This page explains what happens when you visit elvistapfumanei.com. The site is a personal portfolio with no accounts or advertising. It collects only the information needed for analytics and to respond to contact enquiries.
Analytics (Microsoft Clarity)
This site uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use pages (for example, which sections are viewed and how users navigate). Clarity may collect technical data such as device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP address, and interaction patterns.
Microsoft acts as a service provider processing that data on my behalf. Clarity is configured for this site only and is not used to sell your data or to show you targeted advertising on other sites.

Legal basis (GDPR)
Where EU data protection law applies, analytics are used on the basis of legitimate interest: improving the site and understanding whether content is useful, balanced against your rights. You may object by disabling analytics in your browser or using tracking protection.
POPIA (South Africa)
Where the Protection of Personal Information Act applies, I process only what is necessary to operate and improve this website. I do not collect special personal information through this site. Responsible party: Elvis Tapfumanei, based in South Africa.
Contact enquiries
If you use the contact form, the site collects your name, email address, enquiry type, and message. This information is used only to assess and respond to your enquiry.
Form submissions are delivered through Resend, which processes the submission as an email service provider. When Cloudflare Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare also processes technical signals needed to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse.
Do not include passwords, financial information, health information, or other sensitive personal information in the message field. If you email me directly, I use your message and address only to respond.

Retention and security
Analytics data is retained according to Microsoft's Clarity settings. Contact enquiries are retained only for as long as needed to respond, maintain relevant business records, or meet legal obligations. This site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure; I take reasonable steps to keep the site and associated accounts protected.
